Professor Dr. Jassim Al Shamsi chairs the Internal Shariah Supervision Committee of Al Hilal Bank and was previously the Dean of the College of Sharia and Law at the United Arab Emirates University. He currently chairs and is a member of the Internal Sharia Supervision Committees of several other Islamic banks and financial institutions. Additionally, Professor. Dr. Jassim Al Shamsi is a member of the Higher Shariah Authority of the Central Bank and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation and Arbitration and has published numerous academic papers in the field of Islamic banking.
Dr. Ibrahim Ali Abdullah Al Mansoori holds a master’s degree and PhD in Islamic Banking and Economics and is a faculty member in the College of Shariah and Islamic Studies at Al Qasimia University. He is currently serving as a member of the Shariah Supervision Committee of several Islamic banks and financial institutions. Dr. Ibrahim Ali Abdullah Al Mansoori is also the author of various studies and papers on contemporary matters relating to Islamic Banking and various Shariah issues.
Dr. Salim Ali Al-Ali is an assistant professor at the Department of Shariah and Islamic Studies at the College of Law at the United Arab Emirates University, where he teaches a spectrum of courses related to Islamic law and Islamic banking. Receiving his PhD in Financial Law from the University of London, United Kingdom, he currently serves as the Chairman of the Internal Sharia Supervision Committee of HSBC Bank Middle East. He also chairs and is a member of the Internal Sharia Supervision Committees of several Islamic banks and financial institutions.
Dr. Mohamed Obadah Adi is the Head of Internal Shariah Control Division at Al Hilal Bank. With over two decades of experience in the field of Shariah and banking, Dr. Mohamed Obadah ensures monitoring and supervising activities to maintain Shariah compliance and assist in developing and creating innovative Shariah investment and financing products and services. He holds a PhD in Islamic Studies from the University of Wales in the UK, a master’s degree from Al Azhar University’s Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, and received his bachelor’s degree in Islamic studies from United Arab Emirates University.
